Ashton was looking to create a brand video that would explain their unique offering and help them stand out from the competition.
We decided that the best approach would be to create a character-centric video that would put a potential customer at the centre of the story.

Using a rich, illustrated 2D style full of depth and personality, combined with fluid animation and a clear, jargon-free script, we distilled their service by creating a compelling story that engages with potential customers and inspires them to collaborate with Ashton on their next project.
Starting from Ashton's original blue logo, we developed a rich colour palette and a modern illustrated style filled with detail, textures and gradients that would ground our characters in a tactile world, and would give the whole video a modern but timeless look.
To help this further, the animation focuses on a 2.5d look, with a mix of After Effects and cel animation to create complex parallax pans and moving camera shots that help give the entire video a sense of depth and fluidity.
